SO YOU LIKE THE CLINTONS

When Bill Clinton was president, he allowed Hillary to assume authority over a health care reform. Even after threats and intimidation, she couldn’t even get a vote in a democratic controlled congress. This fiasco cost the American taxpayers about $13 million in cost for studies, promotion, and other efforts.

Then President Clinton gave Hillary authority over selecting a female attorney general. Her first two selections were Zoe Baird and Kimba Wood--both were forced to withdraw their names from consideration. Next she chose Janet Reno; husband Bill described her selection as ‘my worst mistake’. Some may not remember that Reno made the decision to gas David Koresh and the Branch Davidian religious sect in Waco, Texas resulting in dozens of deaths of women and children.

Husband Bill allowed Hillary to make recommendations for the head of the Civil Rights Commission. Lani Guanier was her selection. When a little probing led to the discovery of Ms. Guanierâ’s radical views, her name had to be withdrawn from consideration.

Apparently a slow learner, husband Bill allowed Hillary to make some more recommendations. She chose former law partners Web Hubbel for the Justice Department, Vince Foster for the White House staff, and William Kennedy for the Treasury Department. Her selections went well:  Hubbel went to prison,
Foster (presumably) committed suicide, and Kennedy was forced to resign.

Many younger votes will have no knowledge of ‘Travelgate’.  Hillary wanted
to award unfettered travel contracts to Clinton friend Harry Thompson, and the White House Travel Office refused to comply. She managed to have them reported to the FBI and fired. This ruined their reputations, cost them their jobs, and caused a thirty-six month investigation. Only one employee,
Billy Dale, was charged with a crime, and that of the enormous crime of mixing personal  and White House funds. A jury acquitted him of any crime in less than two hours.

Still not convinced of her ineptness, Hillary was allowed to recommend a close Clinton friend, Craig Livingstone, for the position of Director of White House security. When Livingstone was investigated for the improper access of about 900 FBI files of Clinton enemies (Filegate) and the widespread use of drugs by White House staff, suddenly Hillary and the president denied even knowing Livingstone, and of course, denied knowledge of drug use in the White House. Following this debacle, the FBI closed its White House
Liaison Office after more than thirty years of service to seven presidents.

Next, when women started coming forward with allegations of sexual harassment and rape by Bill Clinton, Hillary was put in charge of the “bimbo eruption” and scandal defense. Some of her more notable decisions in
the debacle were:  She urged her husband not to settle the Paula  Jones lawsuit. After the
Starr investigation they settled with Ms. Jones.

She refused to release the Whitewater documents, which led to the appointment of Ken Starr as Special Prosecutor. After $80 million dollars of taxpayer money was spent, Starr's investigation led to Monica Lewinsky, which led to Bill lying about and later admitting his affairs.

Hillary’s devious game plan resulted in Bill losing his license to practice law for 'lying under  oath' to a grand jury and then his subsequent impeachment by the House  of Representatives.

Hillary avoided indictment for perjury and obstruction of justice during the Starr investigation by repeating, “I  do not recall “ and “I have no recollection”, and “I don’t know” a total of  56 times while under oath.

After leaving the White House, Hillary was forced to return an estimated $200,000 in White House furniture, china, and artwork that she had stolen.

What a swell party--ready for another four or eight year of this type low-life mess?

Now we are exposed to the destruction of  possibly incriminating emails while Hillary was Secretary of State and  the pay to play schemes of the Clinton Foundation.  We have no idea what shoe will fall next. But to her
loyal fans – “What difference does  it make?”  Electing Hillary Clinton president would be like granting Satan absolution and giving him the keys to  heaven!

And just think, since leaving the White House, the Clinton's, through 2014, have made $221,139,576.00 and BOTH are  drawing taxpayer funded U. S. Government  pensions.

Obama Did What?

     Shortly before his inauguration in 2008, Obama told a large group of low-information-voters (LIV) that "in 5 days the fundamental transformation of America would" begin.  He didn't say into what, but now we know. The destruction of a constitutionally based republic, rebuilt in the lunatic image of Marxists Richard Cloward and Frances Piven.
     In 1966 these Columbia University professors (and mentors to Obama and the Clinton's) called for political actions that would overload and collapse the US Public Welfare System.  This ideology would redistribute wealth so that everyone would be guaranteed an annual incomes by the government.  To make their Marxist dream a reality they stated that it would have to target the Democrat Party because conservative Republicans would never accept it.
     With Obama's open-door immigration policies it's now safe to label the Cloward-Piven plan of destruction , "Mission Accomplished".  Obama learned well, and his possible replacement, fellow student Hillary Clinton, will continue with the fundamental transformation Obama has so cleverly begun.  It's only fitting that he now take yet another taxpayer funded multi-million dollar vacation to celebrate his victory.
     The one thing Cloward-Piven failed to get right was their opinion that Republicans would not follow their strategy.  After 50 years of liberal domination of the news media, the entertainment industry, and education, the former conservative Republican Party barely exists.  The party is now dominated by power hungry, weak-kneed liberals called the "establishment" and "RINOs".  I like to refer to them as the doormat wing of the democrat party.
      With illegal South American immigrants flooding our borders and tens of thousands of Muslims being brought in by the very government they vow to destroy, the overloading of the US Welfare System is underway...big time. There is simply no way that an additional 100-200k non-English speaking immigrants per year can provide incomes for themselves.
     Cloward-Piven didn't necessarily call for a fundamental transformation from Christianity to Islam.  That strategy could only have come from a president who supports the teachings of Muhammud and his Islamic "religion", and one who harbors a hatred for Israel and America.  Obama has already made his feelings well known on these issues.
     There is hardly a day goes by that we don't hear about a school (or teacher) somewhere that is assigning kids to right about the glory of Islam.  We hear of children singing songs at Christmas programs that contain the words "Allah Ahbar".  Navy chaplins not being allowed to say the word "Jesus" during their services.  Wherever you look the only religion not being banned is Islam.  It's still welcome almost everwhere.  Kids being told that Allah is the only true God.  The shameful examples go on and on.
      There are only 2 republican (no democrat) candidates that might try to return America to the exceptional greatness created by a magnificent, God inspired constitution.

ISIL or ISIS or Islamic State

What Is The USA Coming To

Apparently the White House referred to Christmas Trees as Holiday Trees which prompted CBS presenter, Steven Levy, to write the below. It applies to other countries as it does to America.

My confession:

I don't like getting pushed around for being a Jew, and I don't think Christians like getting pushed around for being Christians. I think people who believe in God are sick and tired of getting pushed around, period. I have no idea where the concept came from that America is an explicitly atheist country. I can't find it in the Constitution and I don't like it being shoved down my throat...

Or maybe I can put it another way: where did the idea come from that we should worship celebrities and we aren't allowed to worship God as we understand Him? I guess that's a sign that I'm getting old  but there are a lot of us who are wondering where these celebrities came from and where the America we knew went to.

In light of the many jokes we send to one another for a laugh, this is a little different: This is not intended to be a joke; it's not funny, it's intended to get you thinking. In light of recent events... terrorists attack, school shootings, etc.. I think it started when Madeleine Murray O'Hare (she was murdered, her body found a few years ago) complained she didn't want prayer in our schools, and we said OK. Then someone said you better not read the Bible in school... The Bible says thou shalt not kill; thou shalt not steal, and love your neighbor as yourself. And we said OK.

Then Dr. Steven Benjamin Spock said we shouldn't spank our children when they misbehave, because their little personalities would be warped and we might damage their self-esteem (Dr. Spock's son committed suicide). We said an expert should know what he's talking about.. And we said okay..

Now we're asking ourselves why our children have no conscience, why they don't know right from wrong, and why it doesn't bother them to kill strangers, their classmates, and themselves.

Probably, if we think about it long and hard enough, we can figure it out. I think it has a great deal to do with 'WE REAP WHAT WE SOW.'

DO YOU SEE WHERE THE USA IS GOING?

A thanksgiving state of mind?

All of mankind is born with needs. Our mothers are the first with whom we bond in order to have those needs met. In a general sense, we become thankful for the love and nourishment we receive, and we return that love with more need. Eventually though we must become accountable, and when that happens we realize how much that love and nourishment meant to our early life. True there are abusive relationships that make for a negative result, but that does not stop our need. It is our need for love, acceptance and the companionship of like minded people that then begins to drive that need.
As we mature there dawns on us the realization of a state of thankfulness that we derive from these associations. We may not become aware of it at the time but it will manifest itself in our continued need for and satisfaction of that need being met by those with whom we choose to associate. Thank God for our friends. If our state of mind is healthy and we are in right relationship with God, (not having the narcissistic mindset you so aptly described). We will begin to realize that our whole life is to be lived in a thanksgiving state of mind. There was nothing in God’s creation that Adam and Eve were not to be thankful for, Even Jesus when he was baptized and taken into the wilderness to be tempted, exhibited a thankful state of mind, that he had the scriptures to bolster his resistance to Satan. Was that a test from God, or an example to be copied? Are we also tempted in similar fashion? Thank God for his leading. (not into temptation). And for that we are thankful. As well, God knowing that failure is one of our options, provided a way of salvation for each of us, through our Savior Jesus Christ. And for that we are thankful. In fact there is no person place or thing to be encountered in this lifetime of struggle, trial and error, that we as God’s Children can say that we were not thankful for? Even Lazarus in his pitiful state of life, shared the Joy of it all. When it was all said and done. I believe he too had a thanksgiving state of mind

   It now appears that the protests at Missouri University were based on a bunch of lies.  Now this has led to a similar "non issue" protest going on in Ithica NY.   In other copycat incidents we have students protesting because a professor refused to cancel an exam.  Muslim students demanding that crucifixes and other religious icons be removed from not only Church sponsored schools, but schools in general.  Of course students being penalized for publically exhibiting a love for country and/or religion has been going on for some time.  Recently a marathon runner was stripped of his 3rd place metal because he had a Bible verse written on his head band.  People (sane people) are up in arms about this growing epidemic at schools all across the country.  Why? they want to know.   The answer is pretty simple, every time our leftist administrators yield to the idiotic demands of liberal socialist students, it spreads all across the country like wild fire.  If students at one school force a president to resign, extorsion demands rise up almost immediately everywhere.
     Where are our leaders today?  Where can we find a school that says to a group of football players, "go ahead and refuse to play.  You can kiss your scholarships goodbye.  Now move out of the tax funded dorm you're living in, quit eating tax funded food at the tax funded school cafeteria and get off the tax funded campus cause you've just been expelled.  You want to run a school?  Well it isn't going to be this one, so you may want to go build your own school someplace else.  Good luck with that."
     Where do these mush brained students get these kinds of ideas?  Where do they learn to be anti-America, anti-Christian, anti-capitalist, anti-constitution, and non-contributing, disgusting socialists?  Guess where.  They learned all this social dogma from today's modern, progressive indoctrination centers beginning from K-1 thru college.   Now we have an educational system run by teachers, professors, deans, superintendents, principals  and school presidents who are all products of a socialist liberal education.  The journalists covering the stories, the judges ruling on lawsuits, and the lawmakers are mostly all of this ideology.  The Marxist Democrats were smart.  Decades ago they began taking over the educational system, the judicial system, the entertainment industry and worst of all the "main stream" news/information industry.  The disaster that we have going on in our tax funded schools today is the result of this takeover which began in the days of FDR.  And college age voters want to vote for Bernie?  Of course they do.
     And the real fuel that ignites the fire?  Political Correctness.  Another product from the early days of the Soviet Union under Stalin.  Our socialist liberals swarmed to it like bees to honey.  Shut up any and all who disagree with their policies and ideology. The final justice will come when todays social media addicted younger generation wakes up and realizes that they're the ones who are going to have to live in the America they've helped create.
     It's past time that we started putting conservatives back into leadership roles.  The democrats have proven once again that Marxism (socialism) doesn't work.  We need a president who will clean out the education dept, the EPA, the judicial system, the Pentagon (among others) and refurbish them with people who will restore the American spirit, culture and values.  Right now I'm thinking Cruz, Trump or perhaps Carson.  We don't need any more "moderates" who continuously cave to liberal democrat demands

Pope Francis Is to the Vatican, What Obama Is to the U.S.

I remember in 2008, when Obama was declared the president of the United States. I could hardly breathe.  I sat in silence for hours; not wanting to believe it was true.
I had warned so many people about him. Having done extensive research on the man, with the little that we did know of his past, I was determined to tell as many people as I could that this man was dangerous for our country.
We knew of his ultra liberal voting record as a U.S. Senator. He was deemed left of Ted Kennedy! We knew that he had close ties with Planned Parenthood. We also knew of his association with people like Bill Ayers and his Marxist pastor, Jeremiah Wright, who spewed his hateful Black Liberation Theology to his congregation every Sunday. Those of us who have discernment knew that Barack Hussein Obama was going to be a curse on our country.
I kept turning it over in my mind — how could this happen? What was wrong with the people? And since that fateful night in November of 2008, he has turned this country into something that is foreign to us. It’s not the America we knew as we grew up. He said that he would fundamentally transform the U.S. and that is exactly what he has done.
POPE FRANCIS
When Pope Benedict suddenly stepped down from the papacy, I had a feeling that something was amiss at the Vatican. Actually, things are always amiss at the Vatican, but this was different. It was like things were out of control; or perhaps someone else was in control. It took less than two days for the conclave to usher in their new pope.
We found out that Pope Francis was the first Jesuit to ever be a pope — the very first! As I researched this more, I realized that the Jesuits were always considered the military arm of the Vatican. Even Catholic priests were shocked when Francis was placed in his position. I began to do more research on the Jesuits. What I was seeing was more than a bit alarming. Assassinations, political plots, helping Hitler to power in Germany; the list goes on and it reads like a terrifying novel. I had no idea that the Jesuits were like this. They sounded more like the mafia than part of the Vatican.
CONSERVATIVE DISSENT IS BREWING INSIDE THE VATICAN
I read an article today from the Washington Post (not usually my choice for news) but I found the piece to be intriguing. Here is an excerpt:
VATICAN CITY — On a sunny morning earlier this year, a camera crew entered a well-appointed apartment just outside the 9th-century gates of Vatican City. Pristinely dressed in the black robes and scarlet sash of the princes of the Roman Catholic Church, Wisconsin-born Cardinal Raymond Burke sat in his elaborately upholstered armchair and appeared to issue a warning to Pope Francis.
A staunch conservative and Vatican bureaucrat, Burke had been demoted by the pope a few months earlier, but it did not take the fight out of him. Francis had been backing a more inclusive era, giving space to progressive voices on divorced Catholics as well as gays and lesbians. In front of the camera, Burke said he would “resist” liberal changes — and seemed to caution Francis about the limits of his authority. “One must be very attentive regarding the power of the pope,” Burke told the French news crew. [1]
Didn’t the college of Cardinals which made up the papal conclave do their research on this man before voting? If they had, they would have found that the former Archbishop of Buenos Aires, Argentina, had a past that was certainly not typical of a leader in the Catholic church.
It seems feasible that the Jesuit community were instrumental in placing their man on the papal throne.

Cardinal Raymond Burke went on in the Post article:
Papal power, Burke warned, “is not absolute.” He added, “The pope does not have the power to change teaching [or] doctrine.”
Burke’s words belied a growing sense of alarm among strict conservatives, exposing what is fast emerging as a culture war over Francis’s papacy and the powerful hierarchy that governs the Roman Catholic Church. [1]
In a prior article about Pope Francis, I wrote:
“I have done much research on this pope. I found that when he was Archbishop Jorge Mario Bergoglio of Buenos Aires, he had close friends who were Wiccans and pagans. He even allowed some Unitarian Universalist acquaintances to hold services in his Cathedral in Buenos Aires, Argentina.  I read that Wiccans, pagans and New Agers in general, were intrigued by the man, and many truly loved him.”
The name of that article was “Pope Francis – False Prophet.” [2]
Pope Francis prepares for his trip to Washington, D.C. to meet with Obama and then to address a joint session of Congress. This has neverhappened in the history of our country. Francis then goes to NY to be the keynote speaker for the Climate Change conference at the U.N. It seems that Pope Francis fashions himself a politician now. Well, that would make sense since we never hear anything from him about the Gospel of Jesus Christ!
This Pope’s liberal leanings are not just causing dissension within the Vatican. It seems that Catholic priests worldwide are either speaking against his unconventional teachings, or his allies are using this to push the envelope and see just how far they can go with issues such as same-sex marriage and abortion.
The Post article continues:
“Yet as he upends church convention, Francis also is grappling with a conservative backlash to the liberal momentum building inside the church. In more than a dozen interviews, including with seven senior church officials, insiders say the change has left the hierarchy more polarized over the direction of the church than at any point since the great papal reformers of the 1960s.
The conservative rebellion is taking on many guises — in public comments, yes, but also in the rising popularity of conservative Catholic Web sites promoting Francis dissenters; books and promotional materials backed by conservative clerics seeking to counter the liberal trend; and leaks to the news media, aimed at Vatican reformers.
In his recent comments, Burke was also merely stating fact. Despite the vast powers of the pope, church doctrine serves as a kind of constitution. And for liberal reformers, the bruising theological pushback by conservatives is complicating efforts to translate the pope’s transformative style into tangible changes.
“At least we aren’t poisoning each other’s chalices anymore,” said the Rev. Timothy Radcliffe, a liberal British priest and Francis ally appointed to an influential Vatican post in May. Radcliffe said he welcomed open debate, even critical dissent within the church. But he professed himself as being “afraid” of “some of what we’re seeing”
Rather than stake out clear stances, the pope is more subtly, often implicitly, backing liberal church leaders who are pressing for radical change, while dramatically opening the parameters of the debate over how far reforms can go. For instance, during the opening of a meeting of senior bishops last year, Francis told those gathered, “Let no one say, ‘This you cannot say.’ ” [1]
In my article, “Pope Francis – False Prophet,” I made the case that this man could very well be the one spoken of in the Word of God as the False Prophet.
Brethren, I feel strongly that everything happening with this Pope is Satanically influenced.
“And I beheld another beast coming up out of the earth; and he had two horns like a lamb, and he spake as a dragon. And he exerciseth all the power of the first beast before him, and causeth the earth and them which dwell therein to worship the first beast, whose deadly wound was healed” (Revelation 13:11-12).
The Word says that he had two horns like a lamb. This brings to mind gentleness. Have you noticed that Pope Francis has a gentle demeanor? He looks like someone that you would invite into your home. But the Word also says he speaks as a dragon. This means that he speaks as a serpent – he lies and deceives and confuses.
I believe that these new events just confirm what many are thinking. Some are even asking if this man could be the Antichrist. We are seeing God’s prophetic Word playing out before our eyes.
Share this with unbelieving friends and families. Let them see for themselves that God’s Word is in the news every day! Then share the Gospel with them. Show them that they can know that they will be in heaven when they die. Time is so short.

"I have this theory about Barack Obama. I think he's led a kind of make-believe life in which money was provided and doors were opened because at some point early on somebody or some group (George Soros, maybe? or Frank Marshall Davis??) took a look at this tall, good looking, half-white, half-black, young man with an exotic African/Muslim name and concluded he could be guided toward a life in politics where his facile speaking skills could even put him in the White House.
 
In a very real way, he has been a young man in a very big hurry. Who else do you know has written two memoirs before the age of 45? "Dreams of My Father" was published in 1995 when he was only 34 years old. The "Audacity of Hope" followed in 2006. If, indeed, he did write them himself. There are some who think that his mentor and friend, Bill Ayers, a man who calls himself a "communist with a small 'c' was the real author.
 
His political skills consisted of rarely voting on anything that might be deemed controversial. He went from a legislator in the Illinois House to the Senator from that state because he had the good fortune of having Mayor Daley's formidable political machine at his disposal.
 
He was in the U.S. Senate so briefly that his bid for the presidency was either an act of astonishing self-confidence or part of some greater game plan that had been determined before he first stepped foot in the Capital. How, many must wonder, was he selected to be a 2004 keynote speaker at the Democrat convention that nominated John Kerry when virtually no one had ever even heard of him before?
 
He out maneuvered Hillary Clinton in primaries. He took Iowa by storm. A charming young man, an anomaly in the state with a very small black population, he oozed "cool" in a place where agriculture was the antithesis of cool. He dazzled the locals. And he had an army of volunteers drawn to a charisma that hid any real substance.
 
And then he had the great good fortune of having the Republicans select one of the most inept candidates for the presidency since Bob Dole. And then John McCain did something crazy. He picked Sarah Palin, an unknown female governor from the very distant state of Alaska . It was a ticket that was reminiscent of 1984's Walter Mondale and Geraldine Ferraro and they went down to defeat.
 
The mainstream political media fell in love with him. It was a schoolgirl crush with febrile commentators like Chris Mathews swooning then and now over the man. The venom directed against McCain and, in particular, Palin, was extraordinary.
 
Now, 6 full years into his presidency, all of those gilded years leading up to the White House have left him unprepared to be President. Left to his own instincts, he has a talent for saying the wrong thing at the wrong time. It swiftly became a joke that he could not deliver even the briefest of statements without the ever-present Tele-Prompters.
 
  Far worse, however, is his capacity to want to "wish away" some terrible realities, not the least of which is the Islamist intention to destroy America and enslave the West. Any student of history knows how swiftly Islam initially spread. It knocked on the doors of Europe, having gained a foothold in Spain.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                    
 
The great crowds that greeted him at home or on his campaign "world tour" were no substitute for having even the slightest grasp of history and the reality of a world filled with really bad people with really bad intentions. Oddly and perhaps even inevitably, his political experience, a cakewalk, has positioned him to destroy the Democrat Party's hold on power in Congress because in the end it was never about the Party. It was always about his communist ideology, learned at an early age from family, mentors, college professors, and extreme leftist friends and colleagues.
 
Obama is a man who could deliver a snap judgment about a Boston police officer who arrested an "obstreperous" Harvard professor-friend, but would warn Americans against "jumping to conclusions" about a mass murderer at Fort Hood who shouted "Allah Akbar." The absurdity of that was lost on no one. He has since compounded this by calling the Christmas bomber "an isolated extremist" only to have to admit a day or two later that he was part of an al Qaeda plot.
 
He is a man who could strive to close down our detention facility at Guantanamo even though those released were known to have returned to the battlefield against America. He could even instruct his Attorney General to afford the perpetrator of 9/11 a civil trial when no one else would ever even consider such an obscenity. And he is a man who could wait three days before having anything to say about the perpetrator of yet another terrorist attack on Americans and then have to elaborate on his remarks the following day because his first statement was so lame.
 
The pattern repeats itself. He either blames any problem on the Bush administration or he naively seeks to wish away the truth.
 
Knock, knock. Anyone home? Anyone there? Barack Obama exists only as the sock puppet of his handlers, of the people who have maneuvered and manufactured this pathetic individual's life.
 
When anyone else would quickly and easily produce a birth certificate, this man spent over a million dollars to deny access to his. Most other documents, the paper trail we all leave in our wake, have been sequestered from review. He has lived a make-believe life whose true facts remain hidden.
 
Even his wife has mentioned they visited the country of his birth, Kenya. You did note she did not accompany him on the trip to Saudi Arabia on which he actually bowed to the king. Being a muslim required him to do so and that same faith prevented him from taking her with him .
 
We laugh at the ventriloquist's dummy, but what do you do when the dummy is President of the United States.

Trump's Power is What???

     Many people are excited with Trump, and for good reason.  He has generated more interest in a campaign than most anyone ever has.  He's awakened and rejuvenated everyone but the RINOs.  He's got them afraid the conservatives might actually win the nomination and then what would they do?  Do you think they would enthusiastically support Trump?  They're doing their best to try and discredit him while promoting an establishment candidate like Jeb Bush.  How could they turn around after the convention and pour money and support  into a Trump campaign?

     The question for me is who is Donald Trump really, and how would he govern?  The answer to the first question is he's a self promoter to the Nth degree.  He's an egotist who knows how to build a following and how to handle a crowd.  He doesn't take crap off the media which people love.  (Just ask Megyn Kelly).  Is he serious about wanting to be president?  All we can do is hope that he is.  Otherwise he will have pulled off the biggest political scam since Hillary, and he would leave the GOP and millions of proud supporters twisting in the breeze.

    Now, how would he govern?  A great deal like Obama governs.  Yes he's super successful, filthy rich and a giant public figure.  The big difference is Obama rules as an evil dictator who ignores the constitution, congress, the will of the people and leads via executive order.   He wants to destroy America's greatness.  Trump would be more of a benevolent dictator who would likely ignore a far left congress, appeal to the will of the people, and use executive orders to restore America's greatness whenever he deems it necessary.

     He will find it easier working across the aisle because he's already bought and paid for most politicians.  Especially the fossils who keep hanging around hoping to get a government building named after them once they die.

     One lingering question for me is this.  Is his vision of America's greatness the same as the people who support him?  Will he solve all (most) of the serious problems facing this country and the free world?  Such as bringing manufacturing back to the US; ending the Islamic threat; restoring the economy; ending the illegal immigration problem; destroying ObamaCare; restoring religious doctrine and tradition; and most of all getting rid of Political Correctness?

     The big thing left out of the Trump analyses is what about the other candidates?  Many of them have excellent qualifications and backgrounds.  Many of them I would vote for.  The big problem I have with Trump is he is so dynamic that none of the candidates are getting much of a chance to explain their attributes, proposals and agendas.  I would like to hear more from them.  Each of them.


This is going into my blog too. You have a good take on Trump. The one thing he has going for him is, he is not a politician. He doesn't give a damn whose toes he steps on and he has no one telling him what to do next. No one can buy him off, and he has no one but the people of this country that he must try to please. That means the media, the politics, and the rich super majorities, have no way to get their hooks into him. He is wealthy, he is smart, he is wise, and cannot be outmaneuvered. I think there has never been one like him, and I feel his running this country would be the best possible thing that has happened in our government since Harry Truman saved this country. Trump will take no crap off anybody. No politician out there today could do any better than he could do, and most certainly he cannot screw our country up any more than the present idiot in charge. We need a strong military, a strong return to our founding fathers moral and religious (Christian )beliefs, a strong immigration policy, a strong deportation policy, and a return to our strong surveillance, and security policies. We need to keep Iran pinned down, and get even tougher with them, and kick the ass of isis and the islamist ignorance that pervades that part of the world. Trump could do all of that.  He is the best possible choice. I pray that he gets it, It could be no worse than it is now, and besides Trump is no politician. He plays to nobody.

 Courting Disaster

As President George W. Bush's top speech writer, Marc Thiessen was provided unique access to the CIA program used in interrogating top Al Qaeda terrorists, including the mastermind of the 9/11 attack, Khalid Sheikh Mohammad (KSM)

Now, his riveting new book, "Courting Disaster", How the CIA Kept America Safe (Regnery), has been published.   Here is an excerpt from "Courting Disaster":  
"Just before dawn on March 1, 2003, two dozen heavily armed Pakistani tactical assault forces move in and surround a safe house in Rawalpindi.   A few hours earlier they had received a text message from an informant inside the house.   It read: 'I am with KSM."

Bursting in, they find the disheveled mastermind of the 9/11 attacks, Khalid Sheikh Mohammed, in his bedroom.   He is taken into custody. In the safe house, they find a treasure trove of computers, documents, cell phones and other valuable "pocket litter."

Once in custody, KSM is defiant.   He refuses to answer questions, informing his captors that he will tell them everything when he gets to America and sees his lawyer.   But KSM is not taken to America to see a lawyer Instead he is taken to a secret CIA "black site" in an undisclosed location.

Upon arrival, KSM finds himself in the complete control of Americans. He does not know where he is, how long he will be there, or what his fate will be.

Despite his circumstances, KSM still refuses to talk.   He spews contempt at his interrogators, telling them Americans are weak, lack resilience, and are unable to do what is necessary to prevent the terrorists from succeeding in their goals. He has trained to resist interrogation.   When he is asked for information about future attacks, he tells his questioners scornfully: "Soon, you will know."

It becomes clear he will not reveal the information using traditional interrogation techniques.   So he undergoes a series of "enhanced interrogation techniques" approved for use only on the most high-value detainees.   The techniques include waterboarding.

His resistance is described by one senior American official as "superhuman."    Eventually, however, the techniques work, and KSM becomes cooperative-for reasons that will be described later in this book.

He begins telling his CIA de-briefers about active al Qaeda plots to launch attacks against the United States and other Western targets. He holds classes for CIA officials, using a chalkboard to draw a picture of al Qaeda's operating structure, financing, communications, and logistics.   He identifies al Qaeda travel routes and safe havens, and helps intelligence officers make sense of documents and computer records seized in terrorist raids.   He identifies voices in intercepted telephone calls, and helps officials understand the meaning of coded terrorist communications.    He provides information that helps our intelligence community capture other high-ranking terrorists,

KSM's questioning, and that of other captured terrorists, produces more than 6,000 intelligence reports, which are shared across the intelligence community, as well as with our allies across the world.

In one of these reports, KSM describes in detail the revisions he made to his failed 1994-1995 plan known as the "Bojinka plot" to blow up a dozen airplanes carrying some 4,000 passengers over the Pacific Ocean.

Years later, an observant CIA officer notices the activities of a cell being followed by British authorities appear to match KSM's description of his plans for a Bojinka-style attack.

In an operation that involves unprecedented intelligence cooperation between our countries, British officials proceed to unravel the plot.

On the night of Aug. 9, 2006 they launch a series of raids in a northeast London suburb that lead to the arrest of two dozen al Qaeda terrorist suspects.   They find a USB thumb-drive in the pocket of one of the men with security details for Heathrow airport, and information on seven Trans-Atlantic flights that were scheduled to take off within hours of each other:

* United Airlines Flight 931 to San Francisco departing at 2:15 p. M.;

* Air Canada Flight 849 to Toronto departing at 3:00 p. M.;

* Air Canada Flight 865 to Montreal departing at 3:15 p. M.;
* United Airlines Flight 959 to Chicago departing at 3:40 p. M.;

* United Airlines Flight 925 to Washington departing at 4:20 p. M.;

* American Airlines Flight 131 to New York departing at 4:35 p. M.;

* American Airlines Flight 91 to Chicago departing at 4:50 p. m.

They seize bomb-making equipment and hydrogen peroxide to make liquid explosives.   And they find the chilling martyrdom videos the suicide bombers had prepared."

Today, if you asked an average person on the street what they know about the 2006 airlines plot, most would not be able to tell you much.

Few Americans are aware of the fact al Qaeda had planned to mark the fifth anniversary of 9/11 with an attack of similar scope and magnitude.   And still fewer realize the terrorists' true intentions in this plot were uncovered thanks to critical information obtained through the interrogation of the man who conceived it: Khalid Sheikh Mohammed.

This is only one of the many attacks stopped with the help of the CIA interrogation program established by the Bush Administration in the wake of the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks.

In addition to helping break up these specific terrorist cells and plots, CIA questioning provided our intelligence community with an unparalleled body of information about al Qaeda Until the program was temporarily suspended in 2006, intelligence officials say, well over half of the information our government had about al Qaeda-how it operates, how it moves money, how it communicates, how it recruits operatives, how it picks targets, how it plans and carries out attacks-came from the interrogation of terrorists in CIA custody.

Former CIA Director George Tenet has declared:    "I know this program has saved lives. I know we've disrupted plots. I know this program alone is worth more than what the FBI, the Central Intelligence Agency, and the National Security Agency put together have been able to tell us."    Former CIA Director Mike Hayden has said: "The facts of the case are that the use of these techniques against these terrorists made us safer. It really did work."

Even Barack Obama's Director of National Intelligence, Dennis Blair, has acknowledged: "High-value information came from interrogations in which those methods were used and provided a deeper understanding of the al Qaeda organization that was attacking this country."    Leon Panetta, Obama's CIA Director, has said: "Important information was gathered from these detainees.    It provided information that was acted upon.

John Brennan, Obama's Homeland Security Advisor, when asked in an interview if enhanced-interrogation techniques were necessary to keep America safe, replied :    "Would the U. S. be handicapped if the CIA was not, in fact, able to carry out these types of detention and debriefing activities? I would say yes."

On Jan. 22, 2009, President Obama issued Executive Order 13491, closing the CIA program and directing that, henceforth, all interrogations by U. S. personnel must follow the techniques contained in the Army Field Manual.

The morning of the announcement, Mike Hayden was still in his post as CIA Director, He called White House Counsel Greg Craig and told him bluntly:    "You didn't ask, but this is the CIA officially non-concurring".    The president went ahead anyway, over ruling the objections of the agency.

A few months later, on April 16, 2009, President Obama ordered the release of four Justice Department memos that described in detail the techniques used to interrogate KSM and other high-value terrorists. This time, not just Hayden (who was now retired) but five CIA directors -including Obama's own director, Leon Panetta objected. George Tenet called to urge against the memos' release.   So did Porter Goss.   So did John Deutch. Hayden says:    "You had CIA directors in a continuous unbroken stream to 1995 calling saying, 'Don't do this.'"

In addition to objections from the men who led the agency for a collective 14 years, the President also heard objections from the agency's covert field operatives.    A few weeks earlier, Panetta had arranged for the eight top officials of the Clandestine Service to meet with the President.    It was highly unusual for these clandestine officers to visit the Oval Office, and they used the opportunity to warn the President that releasing the memos would put agency operatives at risk.    The President reportedly listened respectfully-and then ignored their advice.

With these actions, Barack Obama arguably did more damage to America's national security in his first 100 days of office than any President in American history."

The giveaways in President Obama’s Iran nuclear deal keep piling up. By handing $100 billion or more in frozen funds to Tehran, the deal would not only fill the coffers of Iranian terror proxies. Over two decades U.S. federal courts have found the Iranian government liable for orchestrating or supporting the 1983 bombings of the U.S. Embassy and Marine barracks in Beirut, the 1996 bombing of the Khobar Towers U.S. Air Force facility in Saudi Arabia, and multiple shootings and suicide bombings in Israel, among other attacks. Judges have awarded some $45 billion in damages to hundreds of plaintiffs such as Embassy bombing survivor Anne Dammarell and the widow and orphaned children of Hamas bombing victim Ira Weinstein.

Iran has refused to pay a cent, while continuing to back Hezbollah, Hamas, Islamic Jihad and other terror groups. Yet U.S. law provides for the victims to get compensation. Under the 2002 Terrorism Risk Insurance Act, U.S. court judgments against state sponsors of terror can be satisfied by tapping the seized or frozen assets of those states.

An estimated $100 billion to $150 billion in Iranian oil money has been held in escrow accounts under U.S. sanctions laws since 2012. That’s enough to satisfy the many court rulings in favor of Iranian terror victims, but Mr. Obama’s deal would transfer it to Tehran as “sanctions relief” merely for signing on the dotted line. As even Mr. Obama admits, some of that money would inevitably end up funding more Iranian-backed terror directed by figures such as Quds Force commander Qasem Soleimani, who also gets sanctions relief under the agreement.

A U.S. official told the Journal this month that the U.S. never raised the issue of terrorism victims with Iran. In negotiating Libya’s nuclear disarmament a decade ago, by contrast, the U.S. secured an agreement for the Gadhafi regime to compensate victims of attacks such as the bombing of Pan Am 103 over Lockerbie, Scotland. The 1981 Algiers Accord resolving the Iranian hostage crisis included a claims tribunal that ordered $2.5 billion in payments from Tehran.

In federal court in New York City two dozen victims of Iranian terror have sued to block Mr. Obama’s deal for disregarding U.S. laws meant to enforce just compensation. “It would be outrageous to release the $100 billion in frozen Iranian funds when these American families have unpaid court judgments against the terror-sponsoring regime in Tehran,” said lawyer Nitsana Darshan-Leitner. As Iran can’t be expected to pay, she said, “it is really in the hands of the U.S. administration, which encouraged the U.S. victims to file these cases.”

By ignoring the $45 billion owed to Iran’s terror victims, the U.S. government mocks its own judiciary and erodes a deterrent to state-sponsored terrorism. This is one more reason for Congress to reject a deal that blesses Iran as a nuclear-threshold state.

WHAT IF THEY ALL JUST LEFT

It's a good question... it deserves an honest answer.  Over 80% of Americans demand secured borders and illegal migration stopped.  But what would happen if all 20 million or more vacated America?  The answers I found may surprise you!
 In California, if 3.5 million illegal aliens moved back to Mexico, it would leave an extra $10.2 billion to spend on overloaded school systems, bankrupt hospitals and overrun prisons.  It would leave highways cleaner, safer and less congested.  Everyone could understand one another as English became the dominant
language again.
In Colorado, 500,000 illegal migrants, plus their 300,000 kids and grandchildren would move back "home," mostly toMexico. That would save Colorado an estimated $2 billion (other experts say $7 billion) annually in taxes that pay for schooling, medical, social-services and incarceration costs.
It means 12,000 gang members would vanish out of Denver alone.
Colorado would save more than $20 million in prison costs, and the terror that those 7,300 alien criminals set upon local citizens.  Denver Officer Don Young and hundreds of Colorado victims would not have suffered death, accidents, rapes and other crimes by illegals.
Denver Public Schools would not suffer a 67% dropout/flunk rate because of thousands of illegal alien students speaking 41 different languages.  At least200,000 vehicles would vanish from our gridlocked cities in Colorado. Denver's 4%unemployment rate would vanish as our working poor would gain jobs at a living wage.
In Florida, 1.5 million illegals would return the Sunshine State back to America, the rule of law, and English.
In Chicago, Illinois, 2.1 million illegals would free up hospitals, schools, prisons and

Hillary, I think "NOT"

Hillary Clinton is not going to be the Democratic nominee for president. Yes, the conventional wisdom is that she is still the prohibitive favorite, armed with big money, big connections, and the Big Dog, Bill. But the so-called “wisdom” is “conventional” for a reason.
As a result of endless sordid scandals and predictably Clintonian evasions, her poll numbers on everything from favorability to trustworthiness are in a nosedive. A battery of new polls in key swing states such as Colorado and Iowa show her losing to a number of GOP challengers.
She’s also taking incoming from the left, particularly from Vermont senator and socialist Bernie Sanders, who is scoring major crowds and an increasing percentage of the Democratic vote, indicating that the leftist base sees him as a viable option and not merely a vehicle to register discontent with Mrs. Clinton.
Polls this early in the cycle can be unreliable. But they do indicate a significant downward trend for her that must have her campaign at DEFCON 3.
None of this, however, is her most serious problem. Instead, it’s something much closer to home, much more insidious, much more dangerous than anything else.
It’s President Obama. And he just made his move. Here’s how it’s likely going down:
The Clintons and theObamas have a long history of bad blood, dating to the 2008 primary race. After Mr. Obama creamed her, he offered her the plum gig of secretary of state. Friends close, enemies closer. She tried to get her dirty tricks consigliere, Sidney Blumenthal, a top position in the State Department, which Mr. Obama pointedly denied. So she hired him anyway through the Clinton Foundation.
Through Mr. Blumenthal, she was fed all kinds of intelligence on global hotpots such as Libya , much of it inaccurate, as she circumvented traditional government communication chains via her private email server. What was she hiding from Mr. Obama? And why?

Perhaps because she trusted Mr. Obama about as much as she trusted Bill.


Mr. Obama didn’t trust her, either. In a recently disclosed email, Mrs. Clinton complained that she heard “on the radio” that there was a “Cabinet meeting” that morning and wondered if she could attend. The secretary of state — fourth in line to the presidency — was frozen out, so she set up her own fiefdom.
Mr. Obama needs a successor whom he can control to ensure that the “fundamental transformation of the nation” continues. He cannot control either of the Clintons . In a revealing “tell” this week, he said, “In 18 months, I’m turning over the keys. I want to make sure I’m turning over the keys to somebody who is serious about the serious problems that the country faces and the world faces.”
He will therefore back the one person he knows will do his bidding: his vice president, Joe Biden, whom he summons to his side for every critical photo op, including the announcement of the Iran deal. There’s more going on there than just symbolism.
So here’s the likely plan: Mr. Biden will announce that he is running for president (the reported dying wish of his late son, Beau). After a respectable amount of time, Mr. Obama will announce that while he admires all of the Democratic candidates, Mr. Biden has earned his particular loyalty.
Following his presidential endorsement, Mr. Obama will then support Mr. Biden with the full weight of the White House, including the sophisticated technical infrastructure his campaigns used to win in 2008 and 2012. For years, Mrs. Clinton has begged Mr. Obama to turn it over to her, and he refused. He’s been saving it for someone else.
Mr. Obama will also use his considerable influence with black and Latino voters to support Mr. Biden, which may be enough to help him significantly.

But Mrs. Clinton is a survivor, they will say. The media protects her. True. But it will be a much different situation if she’s under criminal investigation by the Justice Department or worse, crippled by a Special Prosecutor or even an indictment.
Don’t think Mr. Obama will go there? He already has. Last week, the New York Times reported that two inspectors general from his administration recommended that the Justice Department open a “criminal” inquiry into her handling of classified material. The leak to the Times came from a “senior administration official,” which some have speculated was Mr. Obama’s own consigliere, Valerie Jarrett. The Times walked back some of the details, but the damage was done. If Mr. Obama did not want a DOJ criminal investigation of Mrs. Clinton to go forward, he would not have let it go this far.
He wants the investigation, wants her nailed, wants her out. And he’s doing it, slowly, steadily.
The Clintons used to be champion Machiavellians. But in Mr. Obama, they look like they are being outmaneuvered — again — by the ultimate take-no-prisoners master.
Hillary is being given the Judas kiss by her former boss, a man loyal to no one but himself.

Todays Warrior Purge

Disaster: Today's Warrior Purge in the U.S. military

“Where do we find such men?”

That memorable line comes from James Mitchner’s Korean War novel, The Bridges of Toko-Ri.  It refers to intrepid aviators lifting from a carrier, flying into untold danger.  They know they may not return.  They launch anyway.  In boldness unfathomable to many, they willingly, artfully fly into peril.  They are warriors, men of rare talent, intellect, and courage – a combination essential for victory.

Needed warriors are now being purged from the U.S. military.  If America went to war right now with China or Russia, we could lose because of these purges.  We’re losing top-level warrior-leaders to make the crucial differences in battle.  They’re being systematically drummed out as politically incorrect.  When the going gets tough, political correctness (PC) is useless.  Then the brilliant, wily fighters, the coolest heads, the most courageous warriors, are needed to lead regardless of social views or record.

Today, in large measure, our fighting forces are led by briefcase-carrying busybodies, yes-men more interested in enforcing political beliefs and social change than leading in battle.  They care more about their careers than what’s happening to the military and thus the country.  Just last week, a new downsizing of the army was announced – without a protest.

Warriors are not prized.  They are criticized and ridiculed.  Up-and-coming warriors who admire the purged want to emulate them, see what’s happening, and are exiting as a result.

“Soldiers like George Patton or Curtis LeMay are no longer wanted,” writes LCOL Greg Lee, USMC (ret.) in a well-circulated internet forward.  “The fundamental job of the military, ‘kill bad people and break things,’ has become critically hampered by ‘rules of engagement’ [and policies] who’s [sic] guiding logic is political outcome, not successful combat. If the US military is ever defeated, it will be because [rather than honing fighting skills, nurturing fighting thinkers and leaders] it is running the best Day Care centers in the world.”

Political correctness, social change, even care for the enemy are now the battle cries of the U.S. military hierarchy in the Pentagon.  The rules of engagement (ROI), changed to limit civilian deaths under President Obama, are now so dangerous that American soldiers have been made into sitting ducks.  In years past, generals and admirals resigned over such disregard for their troops.  Today’s leaders acquiesce and espouse confusing non-military goals.  The president confounds Coast Guard graduates saying their enemy is climate change.  He sends 3,000 troops to battle...Ebola?

Pentagon priorities are women’s and gay rights and defeating the world’s social ills – disease, hunger, and poverty.  These are worthy causes for a Peace Corps, church group, or diplomat, but not for the military, whose sole constitutional purpose is defending Americans against military threats.  Do you send a sniper to nurse a baby?

Battlefield interrogation, once a life-saver for engaged troops, is now considered torture by the Pentagon and therefore almost eliminated.  Commanders know it will bring immediate dismissal.  Ask former representative Alan West, who, as an army commander, roughed up an Iraqi spy and saved his men from ambush.  He was quickly relieved of command, and had it not been for public opinion, he would probably be in jail.  Soft interrogation in the heat of battle is useless.  Toughness, not empathy, is needed once war is declared.  War is hell.

Leaders are increasingly chosen for race and/or gender rather than military skills.  Under Secretary of Defense Chuck Hagel a Pentagon training manual taught how white males in the military have an unfair advantage.  A hushed story is that a Blue Angels skipper, Donnie Cochran, picked to head the famed Navy flying group largely because of race, resigned after admitting he wasn’t up to the job.  Similarly, the first female Tomcat pilot, Kara Hultgreen, rushed into the cockpit because of her gender, died slamming into the rear of the carrier on approach because of “pilot error.”  In both cases, PC rushed the assignments.  The ignorance and bias of most media regarding warriors and warfare exacerbate the problem.  Few have served.  Most see only the social arguments.

Sexual orientation appears the next criterion – especially with the recent Supreme Court ruling on gay marriage.  According to the Washington Times (June 9, 2015), a gay general in the Army recently introduced his husband at a Pentagon gay rights rally, where Defense Secretary Ashton Carter was the keynote speaker.  In opening remarks, Brig. Gen. Randy S. Taylor, master of ceremonies, called attention to his husband, Lucas, “sitting up front.”  Carter then told the audience, “We need to be a meritocracy. We can’t afford to close ourselves off to anybody.”  Gays, as well as women, can certainly be warriors, but needed warriorhood was not mentioned at the rally.  It is never mentioned, because it is shunned.

Religion, too, a bedrock of warrior culture, is being purged.  Pentagon edicts have banned any expressions of Christianity in counseling soldiers.  A marine lance corporal, Monifa Sterling, a black female, was given a court martial and bad conduct discharge for having a Bible verse on her desk and refusing to remove it.  In contradiction to the old truism, will atheists now be the only soldiers allowed in foxholes?  How about Muslims?  In direct contrast to Christianity, militant Islam, a self-declared enemy, is coddled, even defended.  A blind eye is turned to its murder, tyranny, and aggression, a prime example being the Ft. Hood shootings.  The rugged individualism and fervor, sometimes religious, of warriors like Patton, Jimmy Doolittle, Pappy Boyington, and Robin Olds are now deemed bigotry and discrimination – a quick ticket out.

As a well-circulated piece in the Beaufort (South Carolina) Observer lamented: “Can you imagine someone today looking for a leader to execute the Doolittle Raid [on Tokyo] and suggesting that it be assigned to a dare-devil boozer whose attributes [nonetheless] are [those of a needed warrior] he had respect of his men, an awesome ability to fly, and the organizational skills to put all together?”  No way.  “Where are all the dynamic leaders of the past?”  I’ll tell you, adds the piece: “[t]hey were fired before they made major.”

Numbers tell the tale: 197 officers purged in the five years up to October 2013 – this according to Stand Up America, a media organization founded by army Maj. Gen. Paul Vallely (ret.).  That’s an extraordinary number.  Later figures are unavailable (probably hidden).  It appears that senior officers who wanted to aid those under siege at Benghazi were purged.  A January 2015 article at AMAC.US named Gen. Carter Hamm, in charge of African Command, and Rear Admiral Charles Gaouette, a carrier commander in the Mediterranean at the time, as believed relieved because of their indications to aid.  “Take a look at some of the nine who have been fired or relieved of duty [since Benghazi],” writes AMAC’s Joseph R. Carducci.  “This is one of the largest and fastest purges of military commanders that has ever been recorded.”

The White House is behind the purges.  For the first time in American history, a U.S. president, Barack Obama, disdains the military from the Oval Office.  From ignorance of the military word “corpsmen” to not acknowledging fallen heroes like at Benghazi to championing huge and dangerous reductions in the military budget, Obama, even as threats mount, has shown his contempt for warriors.  While speaking out on questionable deaths of black youths, he says little to nothing about warrior deaths.  Meanwhile, the U.S. Navy is woefully undershipped – from 600 to 300 in a matter of years.  This despite military buildups in China and Russia.  The Air Force and Navy need new and better planes to keep pace.  We’re ridiculously withholding arms from those fighting ISIS.  Only lip service is given to shamefully treated veterans.  In addition, Obama refuses to identify by name America’s most vocal enemy – militant Islam.  The religion’s fighters rape, murder, and torture, and assault almost every PC belief Obama and his aides expound, yet Obama dismisses them as “JV” (junior varsity), “terrorists,” or an aberration.  They know he won’t fight.

Like Neville Chamberlain, the British prime minister on the eve of WWII, Obama and his advisors have a naive and dangerous belief that appeasement and concession are the ways to avoid conflict and aggression.  Chamberlain, waving his meaningless treaty from Hitler, learned the hard way.  Once Hitler started WWII, the British people saw the error of Chamberlain’s beliefs and elected Winston Churchill, a warrior if there ever was one, to lead them in crisis.

But it may soon be too late for America.  Few, if any, of Obama’s aides seem to know this gallant history.  Few, if any, have served in the military.  They disguise a low opinion of warriors by casually referring to anyone in uniform as a “hero” while privately ridiculing soldiers as ignorant, offish, and war-mongers – the “bitter clingers” Obama has spoken of.  They certainly do not embrace the “warrior culture,” one of the phrases most used by the purgers in calling for good riddance.

No less than John Lehman, former secretary of the Navy, has called attention to the purging.  In a recent U.S. Naval Institute Proceedings, he wrote, “[T]he attributes of naval aviators –  willingness to take intelligent, calculated risk, self-confidence, even a certain swagger are the very [attributes] that make them particularly vulnerable in today’s zero-tolerance Navy.”  Zero tolerance means one strike and you’re out – no second chance.  Commanders, especially warrior-commanders, are being “bounced for the bad luck of being breathalyzed after two beers, or allowing risqué forecastle [shipboard] follies.”  Such follies, usually to commemorate events like crossing the equator, have been international naval tradition for hundreds of years.

Today’s purgers, writes Lehman, are PC “thought police” who, “like Inspector Javert in Les Miserables, are out to get [the offenders] and are relentless.”  Any infraction means dismissal.  A soldier’s previous record or potential means nothing.  He has no chance to learn from his mistake.  “Adm. Chester Nimitz [who led the U.S. Navy’s Pacific victory in WWII] put a squadron of destroyers on the rocks. But while being put in purgatory for a while, he was protected by seniors who recognized his potential talent. In today’s Navy, Nimitz would be gone” – as would any officer who wanted to keep him.  “Political correctness just might do more damage to American security than did the Germans, Japanese, and Soviets.”
