radical Islam

Jindal's Brilliant Take on Radical Islam

“Let’s be honest here. Islam has a problem.”

Those are key sentences in an incredibly hard-hitting speech that Louisiana governor Bobby Jindal will give in London on Monday. It is the toughest speech I have read on the whole issue of Islamic radicalism and its destructive, murdering, barbarous ways which are upsetting the entire world.

Early in the speech Jindal says he’s not going to be politically correct. And he uses the term “radical Islamists” without hesitation, placing much of the blame for the Paris murders and all radical Islamist terrorism on a refusal of Muslim leaders to denounce these acts.

Jindal says, “Muslim leaders must make clear that anyone who commits acts of terror in the name of Islam is in fact not practicing Islam at all. If they refuse to say this, then they are condoning these acts of barbarism. There is no middle ground.”

Then he adds, specifically, “Muslim leaders need to condemn anyone who commits these acts of violence and clearly state that these people are evil and are enemies of Islam. It’s not enough to simply condemn violence, they must stand up and loudly proclaim that these people are not martyrs who will receive a reward in the afterlife, and rather they are murderers who are going to hell. If they refuse to do that, then they’re part of the problem. There is no middle ground here.”

I want to know who in the Muslim community in the United States has said this. Which leaders? I don’t normally cover this beat, so I may well have missed it. Hence I ask readers to tell me if so-called American Muslim leaders have said what Governor Jindal is saying.

And by the way, what Bobby Jindal is saying is very similar to what Egyptian president al-Sisi said earlier in the year to a group of Muslim imams.

Said al-Sisi, “It’s inconceivable that the thinking we hold most sacred should cause the entire umma [Islamic world] to be a source of anxiety, danger, killing and destruction for the rest of the world.”

He then asks, “How is it possible that 1.6 billion Muslims should want to kill the rest of the world’s inhabitants — that is 7 billion — so that they themselves may live?” He concludes, if this is not changed, “it may eventually lead to the religion’s self destruction.”

That’s President al-Sisi of Egypt, which I believe has the largest Muslim population in the world.

And what Jindal and al-Sisi are saying is not so different from the thinking of French intellectual Bernard-Henri LÈvy. Writing in the Wall Street Journal, he calls the Charlie Hebdo murders “the Churchillian moment of France’s Fifth Republic.” He essentially says France and the world must slam “the useful idiots of a radical Islam immersed in the sociology of poverty and frustration.” He adds, “Those whose faith is Islam must proclaim very loudly, very often, and in great numbers their rejection of this corrupt and abject form of theocratic passion. . . . Islam must be freed from radical Islam.”

So three very different people — a young southern governor who may run for president, the political leader of the largest Muslim population in the world, and a prominent Western European intellectual — are saying that most of the problem and most of the solution rests with the people of the Islamic religion themselves. If they fail to take action, the radicals will swallow up the whole religion and cause the destruction of the entire Middle East and possibly large swaths of the rest of the world.

LÈvy called this a Churchillian moment. And London mayor Boris Johnson argues in his book The Churchill Factor that Winston Churchill was the most important 20th century figure because his bravery in 1940 stopped the triumph of totalitarianism. So today’s battle with the Islamic radicals is akin to the Cold War battle of freedom vs. totalitarianism.

But returning to Governor Jindal, the U.S. is not helpless. Jindal argues that America must restore its proper leadership role in international affairs. (Of course, Obama has taken us in the opposite direction, and won’t even use the phrase “Islamic radicals.”) And Jindal invokes Ronald Reagan and Margaret Thatcher by saying, “The tried and true prescription must be employed again: a strong economy, a strong military, and leaders willing and able to assert moral, economic, and military leadership in the cause of freedom.”

Reagan always argued that weakness at home leads to weakness abroad. A strong growing economy provides the resources for military and national security. Right now we’re uncomfortably close to having neither.

This is the great challenge of our time. In the early years of the 21st century, it appears the great goal of our age is the defeat of radical Islam.

Jindal gets it.

What Would Jesus Do?

“But we have this treasure in jars of clay to show that this all-surpassing power is from God and not from us.”-(2 Cor 4:7).

What would happen if Jesus took your place for a year in your workplace? Let's consider some hypothetical things that He might do.

He would do His work with excellence. He would be known around the office for the great work He did (Exodus 31:2).

He would develop new ideas for doing things better (Eph 3:20).

He would hang out with sinners in order to develop a relationship with them in order to speak to them about the Father (Mt 9:12).

He would strategically pray for each worker about their concerns and their needs. He would pray for those who even disliked Him (Mt 5:44).

He would rally the office to support a needy family during Christmas (Jer 22:16).

He would offer to pray for those who were sick in the office and see them get healed (Mt 14:14).

He would honor the boss and respect him/her (Titus 2:9).

He would consider the boss as His authority in His workplace (Rom 13:1).

He would be truthful in all his dealings and never exaggerate for the sake of advancement ( Ps 15:2).

He would be concerned about His city (Lk 19:41).

He would always have a motive to help others become successful, even at his own expense (Pr 16:2)

This is a very serious article that needs to be read and widely shared with your friends.

"So here we are with at least 1,700 mosques that promote jihad, the vast majority of Muslims attending such mosques, millions upon millions of dollars flowing in from Saudi Arabia, increasing numbers of mega mosques, a history of mosques being used as military outposts, an antagonistic DOJ forcing mosques on communities, a neutered FBI, and a president who sympathizes with Islam – the greatest national security threat this nation has ever faced.  It is that simple, that stark, and that horrifying. Regrettably, the masses (including most elected officials irrespective of political party) do not appear to grasp this shocking and dangerous truth."
And it comes down to this

What Now?

A note to the next President of The United States. Assuming that there will be a United States in 2016.  Since we have such a sorry ass group of ignoramuses and nincompoops running the country now, and after careful consideration of which direction this country is headed it has occurred to me that the next president should be given some new ideas. Ideas that have never crossed the minds of the nitwits who presently are living the good life of gazillionaire politicians, on my tax dollars. I have after careful consideration come up with what I will call "Some ideas that might help our country" By Gary Young

1.     I'd begin by prohibiting the religion of Islam within the borders of the US.  All you have to do is look at what's happening to Europe and you'll understand why.   I'm not sure how you explain what a religion actually is, but I know what it isn't.  It isn't following a false so-called "prophet" who taught to kill, rape, enslave, and torture any/all who preferred to practice another religion;  One whos goal is to make the entire planet an Islamic state by either conversion or mass slaughter;  A religion that thinks public beheading is good entertainment;  And one whose membership calls itself "moderate" while condoning the butchery meted out by the militant wing of its savage, sub-human so-called religion.

2.     I'd repeal ObamaCare and begin a massive investigation into how it was passed through congress.  If I found any illegalities, frauds, and/or proof of ignoring the constitution and/or parliamentary rules I'd bring federal charges against all responsible for forcing this socialist disaster on all Americans.

3.     I'd begin a massive project of sealing off the border by whatever means is the most effective.  And while the construction was going on I'd flood the southern border with military personnel and the most sophisticated technology available.  Anyone caught smuggling drugs, munitions or Islamic terrorists across the border would be considered foreign invaders and would be stopped by whatever means necessary, including lethal force when needed.

4.     I'd enforce term limits on all senators, congressmen and government appointees.

5.     In conjunction with #3, I'd begin a fair process of dealing with illegals who broke the laws by invading our borders.  They and their families would be humanely sent back to their homelands and allowed to apply for legal visas.  I'd levy heavy fines against employers who knowing hired illegals.

6.     Then to make sure we can fill the jobs that illegals had performed, I'd eliminate welfare for all except those who are seriously in need of assistance such as the physically or mentally handicapped.

7.     I'd return the management of school systems to local governments and get the socialist feds out of it.

8.     I would eliminate (only God knows how many) all worthless, costly, corrupted departments within the government.  That might leave us with just the defense department.

9.     Then with January finished I'd start February by developing programs that would bring manufacturing back to this country.  We'll need their jobs when we start eliminating illegal workers and welfare for the physically fit and chronically lazy.

10.   And last but not least, I'd put God back into our lives.  The first step in that process would be outlawing political correctness.
