Subject: Amazon tax
Good news for the homeless in Seattle. The Bolsheviks running King Co have instituted a "spread the wealth" law that takes money from the successful and gives it to the perpetually poor. Companies with gross incomes of $20M will have to pay about $275 per employee. A large company employing 2000 will be fleeced of appx $550K/yr. you can imagine the impact on Boeing, MicroSoft, Expedia, Weyerhaeuser, Starbucks and others. (And the price increases they'll have to charge the working public?) Even far left CEOs of far left companies are crying foul.
This bonanza is targeted for free food, housing, education, clothing and any other daily needs the rest of us have to work for.
Who are these homeless in Seattle? Blacks 40%; whites 31%; Hispanic 12%; other; 17%. There is also a dual classification of border immigrants and refugees. (ie, Hispanic vs Mideast "refugees"). But let's put statistics aside for a minute and ask a stupid question: Will this gigantic tax do anything to put the homeless to work? Will it relocate those with the ability and the desire to actually want a job, to areas seeking employees? For example Indiana, Kentucky to name a few. Will it return unemployable illegals back to their home countries? Or will it reward and expand the welfare culture?
No question there are people who want jobs, but are homeless due to unfortunate circumstances beyond their control. These people can be, and want to be retrained to get back into the work force. That program would be money well spent.
For the unskilled, non-English speaking illegals, we can help them through helping their home countries develop and become contributing entities. Or, we could continue to open our borders for more democrat voters.... It must be magic living in America, especially if you are illegal or homeless or both, and especially if you bring your 13 children with you, and are unmarried. Either way, it is a technicolor dream world.
